This newly-redesigned Linksys 5-Port 10/100 Switch can significantly enlarge your network traffic’s speed. A switch serves the same duty as a heart in a network design, i.e. restraining your network apparatus together. But distinct a naive heart that divides the network’s bandwidth between all the trustworthy devices, a switch delivers full network speeds at each port. Installing this cost-effective 5-Port 10/100 Switch can potentially enlarge your network speed by five times! It’s the undiluted approach of integrating 10 Mbps Ethernet and 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet devices, too. All five ports have been automobile speed negotiating, and have involuntary MDI/MDI-X crossover detection, so you do not have to be concerned about the wire type. Each pier exclusively negotiates for most appropriate speed and half- or full-duplex mode, for up to 200 Mbps of bandwidth per port. Recipe for poor person’s perfect network – Add the SD205 Switch to the CISCO 678 Modem-Router for a bullet-proof network
This switch can go on any router to add more ports to it. My venerable Cisco 678 has served me for 7 years of heavy use on one computer without so much as a hiccup.
