ARE SAME MODEL CISCO SWITCHES WITH DIFFERENT VERSIONS COMPATIBLE?

I have 2 cisco 2950 switches, but with opposite versions of OS.
Are they compatible?
How about 5000 array switches with opposite OS?
Anyone got any website to check this compatibility?

On the chassis-based switches such as 5000, this can? be pi? pronounced on the ground? pu? easily be periods when a particular module requires a certain level of code to function. cos? would be incompatible because you can not move a power module from one another.
